blending in ii

I went back home last weekend for a much-needed getaway. I love sightseeing around my home neighborhood. I went to the Cathedral of Christ the Light. It's an architectural masterpiece, definitely more breathtaking in person than in photos.

I kind of think I need these pants.

That settles it. A trip to NYC is in order. *** OR A DIY!!! I could definitely make these.

lighter than air

I was planning on being really optimistic when I made this post, but after these photos were taken I suddenly got hell. of. sick. Today I'm running on DayQuil, tonight I'm having a NyQuil party.

last week

This outfit made me feel like I was back in Berkeley. I've never been much good at layering, but I'm trying it out. LA's already getting warm, so I guess I don't have much winter left to do it.

Also, it matches the color scheme of my blog really well, haha!

winter quarter

I wore this yesterday, on the first day of class. It wasn't warm enough for the chilly LA weather.

My friend Ralph is a photographer with a pretty sweet setup. Check out more of his work on his flickr!

the new

Two posts to kick it off with a bang?

There was a sequins-required dress code for my family's New Year's party. Only my aunt, my cousin, and myself went all out, but it was fun nonetheless.

Banana Republic dress, Uniqlo tights, Michael Michael Kors booties

Unfortunately, it was super difficult to get a good detail shot of my sequins. The dress is a simple black shift fully covered in round, black sequins. The highlight is really the tights, though. I've never been to the store New York, but I've become a huge fan of Uniqlo through the pieces I got for Christmas. Everything is so comfortable and well-made for an affordable price.

blending in

I've been on quite the extended hiatus from the blog, haven't I? Last month I got seriously bogged down by finals. I intended to post once my break started, but I was working again and got pretty busy as a result. Things have calmed down a bit, and I'm back.

Last week I went to the de Young Museum with my parents, and my dad took some shots with his new camera. He loves it to death.
